This course provides a solid foundation in Linux operating systems, focusing on essential concepts, command-line usage, and system administration basics. It is designed to help learners build practical skills required to work confidently in Linux-based environments commonly used in DevOps, cloud computing, and software development.

Learners will begin by understanding what Linux is, its history, distributions, and use cases in modern IT infrastructure. The course then introduces the Linux file system structure, user and group management, permissions, and basic networking concepts.

Through hands-on labs and guided exercises, learners will practice navigating the command line, managing files and directories, installing and updating packages, monitoring system performance, and managing processes and services. The course also covers shell basics, environment variables, and simple scripting to automate routine tasks.

By the end of this course, learners are expected to have the foundational Linux skills needed to manage systems, troubleshoot common issues, and prepare for advanced studies in DevOps, cloud engineering, and system administration.
