Nexus Labs – LMS Overview
This course provides hands-on experience with Sonatype Nexus Repository, focusing on managing, storing, and securing software artifacts in modern DevOps environments. It is designed to help learners understand the role of artifact repositories in build automation, dependency management, and CI/CD pipelines.
Learners will begin with Nexus fundamentals, including repository types (hosted, proxy, and group), supported formats (Maven, npm, Docker, and others), and repository architecture. The course then progresses into configuring repositories, managing access control, and integrating Nexus with build tools and CI/CD platforms.
Through practical labs and real-world scenarios, learners will practice publishing and retrieving artifacts, managing snapshots and releases, proxying external repositories, and implementing repository governance policies. Learners will also explore integrating Nexus with tools such as Maven, Jenkins, and Docker.
The course covers security and administration topics, including user and role management, repository permissions, artifact cleanup policies, and backup and recovery strategies. Learners will gain exposure to enterprise best practices for artifact management and supply chain reliability.
By the end of this course, learners are expected to confidently manage and operate Nexus repositories, support secure and reliable build pipelines, and contribute effectively to DevOps and software delivery workflows.
